Thelma Jean Harmon Wyatt, 86, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Thelma was born on July 19, 1938 in Batesville, Arkansas to Buck Harmon and Irma Welder Harmon of Bethesda, Arkansas.
Thelma was a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. Thelma was caring, persistent, strong willed, and was always a giver. She worked at Schnucks Markets of St. Louis, Missouri for over 20 years as a head cashier. She loved playing cards, planting flowers, and feeding the birds.
Survivors include her two sons, J.R. Wyatt (Melody) of Sulphur Rock and David Wyatt (Patti) of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Robert Harmon (Margaret) of Cherokee Village; nine grandchildren, Melina, Jackie III, Jesse, Jamie, Kristen, Steven, Corinne, Elizabeth, and Matthew; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jackie Ray Wyatt, Sr.; brother, Johnny Harmon of Biloxi, Mississippi; and sister, Esta Cargill of Batesville.
A private graveside will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (ORCA), PO Box 32141, New York, NY 10087-2141.

She will always have a place in my heart we had a lot of great conversations an shared a mutual love for the finer arts such as the glass of various varieties I consider my self a little bit better of a person because of the talks we shared may we all be together again until then
To the family ..we were friends since we 20 years old ..we lived in St. Louis together ..starting our families wow we are the same age ..helped Raise the Boys when they were like 2yrs old we all worked very hard and made lots of money ,,,She was a Awesome person,,,Friend,,,mom,,,, Wife,,,,, wonderful cook ,,, Beautiful lll loved her church Baked coconut nut pie ,,,my favorite …I’m so sorry I can’t be there she knows we loved each other very much …I was also raised and left home about the same time ,,, TOO The Boys she loved you with all her Heart and soul …she and Jackie are in heaven with all our loved ones you were very Fortunate to have them as your mom and Dad …you were very Special,,, I LOVE YOU TWO ALWAYS ..SO SORRY I COULDNT BE THERE …YOU ARE SPECIAL …
Thelma, you have lived a long fulfilling life I know you are now out of pain and Home with Uncle Jack. You will be missed love and prayers to the family, Connie and Richard
I am so sorry to hear of the death of Thelma, we were best friends a long time ago, our parents were good friends and played cards to gether . Prayers for the family.
Though we never had the privilege of meeting your mother, We've heard the love and admiration in your words when you spoke of her. It’s clear she was a remarkable woman who touched many lives.
