of Byhalia, MS
December 29, 1954 - January 8, 2025
Nancy Ferralasco Taylor of Byhallia, Mississippi left this life to eternal joy with our Lord on January 8, 2025 following a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Born December 29, 1954 to Robert and Gloria Ferralasco and big sister, Betty at Verser Clinic in Harrisburg, AR. Back then they kept the mommas and newborn babies a little longer in the hospital, so when it was time for the little family to be dismissed, sis, Betty had bonded with the big, chunky (as their Momma put it) baby boy in the bassinette next to Nancy's. After some overly gentle persuasion with Betty, they were off on their life journey to College Circle, Arkansas State College.
Nancy is survived in death by her dearest, beloved husband, Don: cherished sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Moad; child, Christen Gray and spouse, Devon of El Paso, Texas; Christopher and Isabel Taylor of Mt. Pleasant MS and ever beloved stepmother, Brenda Gordon Ferralasco. She is also survived by beloved nephew, Michael Davidson and spouse, Stacy; nephew, Aiden and niece, Emma of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. There would not be enough hours in the day to list the numerous cousins, in laws, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Nancy grew up in Jonesboro, graduating from Hurricane Class of 1973. She went on to graduate from Western Kentucky University and received her master's degree from UALR. Although she spent many happy productive years in health care administration, she became an RN in her early 30's. Life eventually drew her back to Northeast Arkansas for a while and new adventures.
She was blessed with motherhood through adoption of a precious little girl named Chrissy. She and Chrissy were living an active, full, happy life in South Jonesboro, while working in nursing, hospital care, home health and nursing home. Life was very good. One day while she and Chrissy circled the block on a scooter, the new neighbor was outside and waved and Nancy waved back, in a hurry before the mosquitoes carried them away. After many waves and hellos, this kind man, Don Taylor, would become her true love, best friend and strength and support. Don's job eventually required him to move to their little piece of paradise in North Mississippi. During their twenty plus years together, they have battelled tough times with health challenges, joyful times of closeness to family and of the thousands of hours loving family and watching them grow. But mostly, praising God for their times just being together. If their patio walls had ears. There would be countless hours of laughter, rejoicing and a few tears. And probably a hundred times from the mouth of Don, ''Now I know why God encouraged me to buy that house many years back in the swampy rice fields of Jonesboro.''
The memorial service will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Ave, Jonesboro.
Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to Northeast Arkansas Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
I am so sad to hear this horrible news. RIP Nancy. Your star will shine bright.
Nancy and I became very close friends as majorettes at JHS in 1970. She was one of the kindest and caring Christian persons I have ever known. In our past time, she and I enjoyed going to get a coke together and circling the Tastee Freeze. It was important, as teenagers, to see who all were out. She had many, many friends that she sincerely loved. I was very fortunate to get to spend time with Nancy this past summer and fall. It was wonderful reminiscing, holding hands and having those big beautiful Italian brown eyes look at me again. She was a very delicate soul, born an angel who has now gained her wings.
Praying for peace and comfort.
My thoughts and prayers to Nancy’s family. Fly high friend
I loved working with Nancy at the wound center. She was one of the most caring and selfless people I’ve ever known.
I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy since jr high, only because I attended Annie Camp and we always kept an eye on those MacArthur girls. She was so graceful while performing as a majorette during Jr high and at Jhs. The majorette’s were very talented and won many awards. I kept up with Nancy later in life because her dad and mother attended ASU sporting events. I would always ask about how she was doing. They were very proud of her career in the Medical field helping and caring for others. Nancy fought a long battle with cancer. I never heard her complain about it, just kept fighting it like a champion. She was blessed to have Betty and her family take care of her until the end, just like Nancy took care of her patients until the end. RIP my friend Spud
What a blessing to have met Sweet Aunt Nancy through her Family! I knew right away that she was the kindest and most loving woman I had ever known. As time went by, we became like Sisters. I will miss having conversations with her. She was always there to listen to my problems. I will miss her , but will have her in my heart! Love You, Aunt Nancy !

This really hurts my heart. Loved when Betty and Nancy would come to Haskell to visit their grandparents. Really enjoyed seeing them. Remember when I took Nancy for ice cream in my Corvette. "May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed Rest in Peace. Amen".
Nancy, as I recall, in high school, always had a smile….her long hair will always be remembered
She will be missed.
May God comfort her family.
Rest in peace sweet cousin. A memory.. It was fun when you and Betty would visit your grandparents in my home town Haskell, NJ. I would love to just listen to talk because I loved your accent. We all enjoyed spending that special time together. Especially sitting at my parents Tavern/restaurant drinking birch beer and eating pizza. Memories, family ties is what keeps us together. But today I say good bye till we meet again together with our families in heaven. You fought an amazing fight. Good genes for sure. I Love You

Peace be with Nancy and her family.
Nancy and I were friends in highschool. Lost touch but reunited when she was a nurse in nursing home in Jonesboro. My husband needed to put his grandmother in nursing home as she required more care than we could do at home. I was very glad to find Nancy in the nursing home where we decided to put his grandmother. I told Michael Nancy would take good care of his grandmother and she did! Great person and very good nurse
Such a sweet soul. Our deepest sympathy. May God bless.
