Guy Brent Gilbert, Sr., age 72 of Harrison, passed Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Baxter Health in Mountain Home. He was born April 27, 1952, in Marshall, Arkansas, the son of Dencil and Gustava Rorie Gilbert.
Guy was a devoted member of Red Oak Baptist Church for over 30 years, where he served as a faithful Sunday School teacher and treasurer. He was a man of strong faith, known for his unwavering prayers for his family, his church, and his country.
He married the love of his life, Geneda Blake, and they shared a loving partnership for 48 years. Together, they raised their family in Sherwood and Harrison, Arkansas.
Guy was a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating Gilbert Mold and Die for 32 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, finding solace in the pursuit of deer and the tranquility of fishing.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Geneda, of the home, his son and daughter-in-law, Guy ''Bo'' Jr. and Myra Gilbert of Harrison; daughters and son-in-law: Tammy Moore of Texas and Guila and Richie Norris of Cassville, Missouri; his brother, Joe Gilbert, sister, Peggy Kilpatrick, seven grandchildren: Kalyn Kenyon, Myles, Landyn, Wesley, Abbie Phillips, Ricky Norris, and Allie Norris. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 10-11:00am Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Red Oak Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 11:00am at Red Oak. Interment will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Pallbearers are his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearer is Mike Fountain.

Brent graduated with my brother in 1970 at Timbo High School. I mostly remember Brent as a great Timbo Tiger High School basketball player. Geneda thinking of you and your family.

Oh my ........ this was a shock to me because I just saw him Sat at Timbo for the first time in a long time. I will be praying Geneda for you and for all your children and grandchildren and for your mother. He will be missed...... he was a good man and I am blessed that I knew this fine Christian friend. I love you all and I pray for comfort and many good memories to accompany you in the days ahead.

Brent was an outstanding man and a wise business person. He had a heart of gold and the integrity of a Saint. Always a smile and a wonderful outlook.
He and I spent many childhood days playing "and fighting" as cousins tend to do but we looked out for each other when we needed to.
Brent will be ma seed by countless people who were fortunate enough to have known him
