Guy Brent Gilbert, Sr., age 72, of Harrison died on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Baxter Health in Mountain Home. He was born April 27, 1952, in Marshall, Arkansas, the son of Dencil and Gustava Rorie Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Guy was a devoted member of Red Oak Baptist Church for over 30 years, where he served as a faithful Sunday School teacher and treasurer. He was a man of strong faith, known for his unwavering prayers for his family, his church, and his country. He married the love of his life, Geneda Blake, and they shared a loving partnership for 48 years. Together, they raised their family in Sherwood and Harrison, Arkansas. Guy was a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating Gilbert Mold and Die for 32 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, finding solace in the pursuit of deer and the tranquility of fishing.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Geneda, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Guy ''Bo'' Jr. and Myra Gilbert of Harrison; his daughters and son-in-law, Tammy Moore of Texas and Guila and Richie Norris of Cassville, Missouri; his brother, Joe Gilbert; his sister, Peggy Kilpatrick, and seven grandchildren, Kalyn Kenyon, Myles, Landyn, Wesley, Abbie Phillips, Ricky Norris, and Allie Norris.


Visitation was on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Red Oak Baptist Church.

The funeral service was at Red Oak Baptist Church.

The interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Guy's grandchildren.

The honorary pallbearer was Mike Fountain.
