Mr Irizarry, it didn't take me long being around you, when I was in college, to learn that you liked to have fun kidding around. You expected excellence from your children and had taught them what it was by explanation and example. It was obvious that you were the head of the house, but just as obvious that you loved your wife and kids even more. That you loved God and put that love into action. You also loved your Country. Thanks for your example, and the legacy you and Mrs Irizarry have passed on through your children!

I love you, Dad, and I miss you very much already. This past year has been quite memorable and I will always treasure the time I got you spend with you one on one. I can still see you sitting in your chair in the den or out on the new deck looking out over your property. You kept your Puerto Rican feistinesses to the end and that makes me smile. Your daughter in love, Cathy.
