Carlos W. Irizarry, 91, of Benton passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his home. He was born on November 29, 1933 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to Carlos Irizarry and Cruz Mori-Irizarry. He was a member of the Congo Road Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon until his retirement. He served for over 20 years as a legal advocate and served in the United States Air Force, where he was a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working on his lawn.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilfred Irizarry; a sister, Edna Irizarry-Milagros and a great-grandchild, Liam Torres.
Survivors include is wife of 65 years, Margie Coats Irizarry of Benton; two sons, Kenny Irizarry (Cathy) of Texarkana, Texas and Tim Irizarry (Kimberly) of Slidell, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Ashlee Torres (Jose) of San Antonio, Texas, Chris Irizarry (Tiffany) of Kinston, North Carolina, Erin Irizarry of Fayetteville and Anna and Isabella Irizarry both of Little Rock; three great-grandchildren, Eden Torres and Kaison and Cameron Irizarry; two brothers, Jimmy Irizarry (Marisol) of Orlando, Florida and Charlie Irizarry of Rochester, New York, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Rd, Benton, Arkansas 72015 with Bro. Jeff Langley and James Mullins officiating.
Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park located in Alexander.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home of Benton.
