Curtis and Marcina (Treat) Lancaster carried their only child out of the hospital on Sunday, January 21, 1979 in Batesville, Arkansas. April was a beautiful person both on the inside and out. She was a fun-loving, kind, hilarious, intelligent person who never met a stranger. April livened up the room anywhere she went and always had an incredible smile a mile wide. April received her Bachelor's Degree from UALR, and then continued her education receiving a Master's Degree and EdS Degree in Psychology from ASU in Jonesboro. April had a deep affinity for anything with glitter, Washi tape, fancy shoes, clothing, purses, and writing tools. She also had a great love for Ralph Lauren, Dillard's, Macy's, L.L. Bean and any clothing store that Curtis had a card for. She loved reading, writing, high school band, and enjoyed working at Roller Crouch Funeral Home. She also had a deep love for her beloved animals. April will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to have known her. She was the greatest friend anyone could be blessed to have.

I only knew your beautiful daughter through social media but her impact on my life was indelible. My heart aches for you with grief; I hope, with time, her memories will provide comfort and her legacy be a reminder of the difference she made in the lives around her.
Mr. & Mrs. Lancaster, we are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. April was a very talented and kind young lady, and she was loved and appreciated by all. Prayers for peace and comfort for all who were privileged to share in her journey. GOD BLESS and Love & Prayers!
I always loved hearing April laugh when we were in high school and I would stand and talk to her and Don before class started for the day. She would always bring a smile to my face and lift my spirits for the day ahead. Rest in peace, April. Prayers to the family for comfort and solace.
I know she’s in heaven, but sure wish she could have stayed here. We had so much fun growing up together and continued to check in with each other as we got older. She is loved, and will be missed. I appreciate that I was able to be a pallbearer. As the minister said, she loved weird people, and I’m thankful I was one of her weird people. Love to Curtis and Marcina. And thank you for being part of the village that kept an eye out for me when we were teenagers.
RIP
Marcina, I am so very sorry for your loss and I pray God will give you strength during this very lonely time.

I am so very sad to hear this. April was one of the most intelligent and witty individuals I have had the pleasure of knowing in this life. She was my partner in crime in elementary GT. We got into all kinds of mischief. At ASU we got into a little mischief as well. I will never forget her laugh. Rest in peace, April. My sincerest condolences to Curtis and Marcena.

My life was made so much better for having you in it sister, even for the few short months we got to share. I'll check in on mom and dad (and Poppy thru the window). You hold down the fort in your glitter-filled mansion until the rest of us get there. Love you sis.
