of Batesville, AR
January 2, 1964 - November 28, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Greg Neaville, a devoted family man, loving father, and esteemed member of the medical community. Greg departed this world on November 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and dedication.
Born on January 2, 1964, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Greg spent his formative years in a loving home with his parents, Dr. Wayne and Suzette Neaville, and three younger brothers. The Neaville household was filled with adventure and mischief, shaping Greg into the caring and fun-loving individual he would become.
Greg found his greatest joy in the roles of husband to Mona and father to Madison, Mason, Grace, Max and later as Pop Pop to his beloved granddaughter, Sophia. His commitment to providing unwavering support, guidance, and boundless love shaped the foundation of their lives. Greg's devotion knew no bounds. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he approached his roles with gentle strength and a deep love.
Greg's academic pursuits were marked by excellence, beginning with his graduation with honors from Lakeside High School, where he served as class valedictorian. It was during his high school years that he met Mona, the love of his life. Their love story unfolded, leading to 36 years of a steadfast and joy-filled marriage that stood as a testament to enduring love, until Mona's passing last year.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Greg pursued an academic career at Hendrix College and later at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1990. Following his residency in Internal Medicine, Greg and Mona began their search for the perfect place to raise their family and devote themselves to a community. Eventually, they chose Batesville, AR, as their home.
As a physician, Dr. Neaville's compassion for his patients and tireless work ethic endeared him to all who sought his care. Known for his generosity of spirit and warm nature, Greg's impact was felt beyond the walls of the clinic. He approached his work with a profound sense of empathy, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Greg's fun-loving and warm nature extended beyond his professional life and into the hearts of those who knew him personally. Whether at work or spending quality time with his beloved family, Greg radiated a joyous spirit that uplifted those around him. He was most at home on the water and greatly enjoyed the lake and the beaches of Florida.
Greg is survived by two sons, Mason Neaville (Natalie) of Colorado, Max Neaville of the home, two daughters, Madison Neaville (Jeremy) and Grace Neaville (Quinn) of the home. Mother, Suzette Neaville of Hot Springs, three brothers, Chris, Kyle, and Matt (Jessica) Neaville; granddaughter, Sophia Morgan, mother-in-law, Judy Murrah, several nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Wayne Neaville and father-in-law, Charles Murrah.
A drop-in celebration of Dr. Greg Neaville's life will be held on Monday December 11, 3:00- 7:00 pm, at the Batesville Community Center in Room A. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CARTI Cancer Center in Little Rock, AR.

Dr Neaville was my dedicated doctor for over thirty years. He had such a loving, kind nature and always did as much to help me as was humanly possible. Dr Neaville was a wonderful person. I have known him for many years. Not just as my Dr, but as my friend. Words can't express what a tremendous impact he had on so many lives. My heart goes out to his family.
Dr. Neaville, or Didi as Mason would call you growing up. I am forever thankful to you and Mona for always opening your home to me and all of Masons friends growing up. Your home was like a 2nd home for me during high school spending summers in the pool, riding around eagle mountain on four wheelers with Mason, every razorback football game, all the thanksgiving and Christmas front yard football games and all the other shenanigans we might’ve been up to. You guys were always there to make sure we weren't hungry or needed anything. You and Mona were always so incredibly gracious and caring for every friend of Mason’s that came through your home. I will miss you and Mona so much and forever cherish the memories made in your home.
Dr Neaville was such a loving careing doctor who always had time and genuine concern for his patients. He will be greatly missed. Sympathy to the family at this time of sorrow.
