It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Greg Neaville, a devoted family man, loving father, and esteemed member of the medical community. Greg departed this world on November 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and dedication.
Born on January 2, 1964, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Greg spent his formative years in a loving home with his parents, Dr. Wayne and Suzette Neaville, and three younger brothers. The Neaville household was filled with adventure and mischief, shaping Greg into the caring and fun-loving individual he would become.
Greg found his greatest joy in the roles of husband to Mona and father to Madison, Mason, Grace, Max and later as Pop Pop to his beloved granddaughter, Sophia. His commitment to providing unwavering support, guidance, and boundless love shaped the foundation of their lives. Greg's devotion knew no bounds. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he approached his roles with gentle strength and a deep love.
Greg's academic pursuits were marked by excellence, beginning with his graduation with honors from Lakeside High School, where he served as class valedictorian. It was during his high school years that he met Mona, the love of his life. Their love story unfolded, leading to 36 years of a steadfast and joy-filled marriage that stood as a testament to enduring love, until Mona's passing last year.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Greg pursued an academic career at Hendrix College and later at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1990. Following his residency in Internal Medicine, Greg and Mona began their search for the perfect place to raise their family and devote themselves to a community. Eventually, they chose Batesville, AR, as their home.
As a physician, Dr. Neaville's compassion for his patients and tireless work ethic endeared him to all who sought his care. Known for his generosity of spirit and warm nature, Greg's impact was felt beyond the walls of the clinic. He approached his work with a profound sense of empathy, leaving an indelible mark on the lives he touched.
Greg's fun-loving and warm nature extended beyond his professional life and into the hearts of those who knew him personally.
