How blessed I was to have had Mrs. Allen for a teacher. She would enter the room on fire and ready to tell us all about this historical fact or that historical fact that brought America to where it was. She even used music from Johnny Horton in the class. She wanted us to remember. Fifty years later, those history and civics lessons are well remembered, when I think of them, I gratefully think of her and smile.
Many prayers for God’s Grace and Comfort.
I can’t find the words to express what this lady, her husband Jimmy Allen, her parents, and her brothers have meant to me and the direction of my life. I have always cherished their influence and I love them deeply.
Momma and I are saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Joyce Glover & Tracey Schwieger
Kim, Robin, Scotty, and Avery I want you to know I'm praying for you. I wish I could come to the memorial service but will not be able. Your mom and dad were ICON's in Dyess during their time in education. Whether it was in the classroom, on the basketball court, in administration or swinging the paddle (I didn't like it then but thankful they help make me who I am today.) they will always be remembered. I believe our God is SOVEREIGN in all things and I needed them in my upbringing. THANK You Mr. & Mrs. Allen
So sorry to hear she's gone, praying for her family and the ones she left behind,
Prayers for extended family. It is we who are left behind who suffer the loss. She is in a better place â¤ï¸ðŸ™
Mrs. Nell was a special lady and a wonderful teacher, and loved by all of us who were fortunate enough to be in her class. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Prayers for all
An amazing woman and one of the best teachers I ever had. I can’t imagine Dyess Central Baptist Church, Dyess elementary or jr high without her and Mr. Allen. Praying for Scottye, Avery, Robin, Kim, and the rest of the family.
Kim, Robin, Scottye and Averie, she was such an anchor. The picture here is perfect!
So very sorry of your Mom’s passing
My sincere prayers and comfort in coming days
Sending lots of hugs
Sending love and prayers to each of you during the loss of Mrs. Nell today and in the days ahead. This world’s loss is heaven’s gain. ðŸ™ðŸ»â¤ï¸
May God bless all the family. We were all touched in some way by Nell and Jimmy Allen. They were,
indeed, mentors to a large number of young people.
Mrs. Allen was a champion to a lot of future teachers.
She well deserves her place in the Sun.
May God bless all the family.
I WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF MS. ALLEN'S PASSING. PLEASE PASS-ON MY CONDOLENCES TO HER CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND FAMILY. MS. ALLEN WAS MY FIRST TEACHER TO TRIGGER MY INTEREST IN AMERICAN HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT. SHE TAUGHT ME IN EIGHTH GRADE AMERICAN HISTORY AND NINETH GRADE CIVICS AND ARKANSAS HISTORY. I HAVE CROSSED-OFF MANY OF MY HISTORICAL BUCKET LISTS THROUGH THE YEARS. THANKS MS. ALLEN. REST IN PEACE.
