I am so saddened to hear about Mark. Mark and I were pledge brothers together at the University of Arkansas. While I have not seen or spoken to Mark since graduating college, it is very painful to hear of his passing. The bonds you form as pledge brothers are very strong, even as time passes by, and we all go our own separate ways. I pray for him, and all his family during this time.

Mark was very special to me. He took care of me as a young freshman and we kept in touch over the years. A great person, example, and friend. I’ll often think of you my friend and miss you tremendously. Love you bro!

My daughter studied under Dr. Peacock. He was instrumental to her finishing her fellowship successfully when she had serious obstacles. She spoke so highly of him & his great influence on her. I don't have the words to thank him for his help. I wish I could have met him personally & thank him with all my heart. I hope that he realized what a difference he made in so many lives. He will be in my prayers. Sending sincere condolences to his family & children.

Thank you all for such kind, sweet and very true words. My husband was a talented gifted man, smartest person I've known since we sarted dating in 1997. Great doctor, father and husband. I will always love, remember and cherish our many wonderful memories of 25 years together. Traveling all over to see Phish which if you really knew Mark you know that was his obsession along with coffee he was happy. Traveling was his/our favorite thing to do before we had kids, great memories and even better memories was becoming parents. he became a great father, helping me with our babies after working so hard as a doctor at the same time all fay. I'm blessed that we have two wonderful boys that are our heart, and know he's looking over us. This is the hardest thing we've ever gone through obviously. I already miss his voice and knowledge that I need right now more than ever. Miss him terribly and always will. I know he is in heaven with his sweet mom and looking over me and my boys. I love you Mark.

So sorry to hear of this tragedy. Dr. Peacock was my supervisor throughout my fellowship year. He was the reason I came to Arkansas, because when I interviewed with him, I knew he was someone I wanted to learn under. Throughout my fellowship year I was struck by his intellect and his care and compassion for others. It ended up being a difficult year for me through his kindness and support I was able to make it through the remainder of my fellowship. It pains me to hear of his passing but I just wanted to share the positive impact he left on others, including myself, through his life. My deepest condolences to his family and children. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Sincerely,
Monica Parkins Mousa

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Mark was my colleague during internship. He was brilliant but also had the kindest soul. He was always there for me for support, a funny story, and words of wisdom. He meant so much to all of us. He was one of those people that make an impact and you always remember. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Stacy and I had the pleasure of working with Mark at the State Hospital and on faculty at UAMS. We were very fond of him and valued him greatly as a colleague. Mark was charming and fantastically bright. He was an outstanding teacher and helpful peer. He will be greatly missed, but he leaves a legacy of those he educated. Our thoughts are with his family in this difficult time.

Mark Peacock was an amazing psychologist, an excellent mentor, a knowledgeable teacher, and an even better friend. I will never forget the many lessons and valuable information he taught me. The impact he has had will stay with me for the rest of my life. Although he is gone from this world, the effect he has had is not and it will forever be felt in the lives he improved. I am grateful for having known him and will miss him greatly.

I was one of Mark’s teachers at Indian Hills. He was a friend of my Son, Steven. As a teacher, you don’t remember every child; just the special ones. Mark was very special. He was friends with everyone. He loved learning, as long as it challenged him. He was a pleasure to teach. Lives will be empty without Mark Peacock.
