A memorial service for Curtis L. Williams of Mountain Home will be at 10 AM Saturday, July 25, at College & North Church of Christ. Curtis, age 74, passed away on July 22 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri.
Curtis was born on November 20, 1940 in Ruleville, Mississippi to Ed and Ora (White) Williams. There he grew up. Curtis married Nell Williams on January 2, 1960 in Ruleville, where they resided for most of the next 10 years, until they moved to Mountain Home in April 1970.
Curtis owned several businesses, including a partnership he shared with lifelong friend, Harvey Turner. They were both known as The Little Men.
Curtis enjoyed his family and friends first and foremost, but also found enjoyment in racing and camping. He was very busy in his church duties at College and North Church of Christ where he served as a deacon. He always made himself available to help anyone in need.
Curtis is survived by his wife, of the home, Nell Williams, son, Ken (Laura) Williams, of Mountain Home, daughter, Pam (Curt) Dicks, of Mountain Home, son, Lonnie (Leslie) Williams of Lakeview, one sister, Nell (Junior) Grant, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, grandchildren, Justin (Kim) Williams, Heath (Carlie) Williams, Aaron (Meghan) Dicks, Breanna Dicks, Amanda (Jeff) Smith, Aubrey Williams and fiancé, Dustin Collins, Ali (Trey) Swarthout, Jessica, B.J. and Nick Davenport, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Peck, Wilbur, Ecom, Red and Sonny and one son, Donnie.

My sincere condolences. Curtis sold a golf cart to my disabled husband and I several months ago. When my husband passed away, he bought it back, helping me out immensely. He was a lovely man with a kind and generous spirit. May he rest in peace.

Going to miss Little Man stopping by and telling me story's about when he was there at the corner of 201 and 5. He told me he made many dollar on that corner and hoped I did the same. Treat people good and they will be back and so will the kin folks. It's stuck in my head and I will never forget it. Hope they have some good racing and good camping up there in heaven for you.
