John Thomas Foster, 74, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. John was born on July 10, 1940 in Mountain View, Arkansas behind Sonic to the late Thurman Thomas and Laura (Talburt) Foster. John was a logger and a farmer and worked for Roberts Ford Tractor. John was also of the Baptist faith.
John is survived by his wife, Harlene (Taylor) Foster of Mountain View, Arkansas; two sons, Jimmy Wayne Foster and wife Keri, Russell Foster and wife Nicole, and daughter, Kimberly Ramer and husband Nathan all of Mountain View, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Allison, Anniston, and Ashley Foster and Haley and Kobe Ramer all of Mountain View, Arkansas; one brother, Gary Foster and wife Debi of Flippin, Arkansas; seven sisters, Regina Wilson and husband Roy of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Linda Farris of Dallas, Texas, Joan Hankins of El Cajon, California, Jane Rahrovani and husband Soja of Del Mar, California, Rhonda Leonard and husband Leon of Rogers, Arkansas, Madeline Strutton of Timbo, Arkansas, and Earline Hinkle and husband Charles of Maumelle, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman Thomas and Laura (Talburt) Foster; brother, Jerry ''Pepper'' Foster of Mountain View, Arkansas, and sister, Sue Sharper of Alaska.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 1-2PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow visitation beginning at 2:00PM with Brother Mack Litaker and Brother Loe Murphree officiating. Interment will take place at Case Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Shawn Strutton, Jonathan Foster, Kyle Foster, Jerry Lee Younger, Toby Crymes, and Stacy Sloan. Honorary pallbearers are the Mountain View Class of 58'.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
