Dear Clydia and family,
We just learned of Paul's death today (12/9/13) from Ron in Harvard, IL. I was wondering about you all just about the time of his passing and how things were going.
We've bought a place in Florida where my wife said she'd never retire to but here we are.
God bless and we'll keep you in our prayers
Paul is remembered fondly as a wonderful neighbor and friend as well as the Pastor that married Dan and I in 1990. Our thoughts and prayers are with Clydia, Britt, Tammy, Sheila, and the rest of his family. He will be missed. RIP Paul
Dear Stender family: I am sorry for your loss. Brother Stender not only baptized me, but he also married me in the Monroe Baptist Church.
He would chaperone various outings for the youth of the church. He loved the church and did so much for the church and community.
May God wrap his arms around the family and hold you up as the sorrow surrounds you.

Brother Stender was my pastor during my childhood. I enjoyed going to his house and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful man and raised three great children. Our loss on this earth is heaven's gain.
I knew Brother Stender when he was Pastor of Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, Arkansas 1961-1963.
Brother Stender made a difference in the lives of several teenagers in that small community. He worked very hard to get the youth of that small town into the church family.
Brother Stender was a young man then and the teenagers, me included, liked to include him in our activities when he had time from his other duties. We had great times, swimming, ice skating on frozen ponds in winter, and at church parties he chaperoned.
He was a real Pastor for us.
Brother Paul Stender showed us the way.
I am grateful for that, and I am glad that I knew him. He will be remembered.
Although I didn't know Paul, I would like to express my condolences to the family for your lose.
Being parted from a dear love one brings pain, but soon we will experience the joy of reunion promised at John 5:28,29. When all things are made new,and our Heavenly Father wipes out every tears from our eyes, and even our enemy death will be done away with.(Revelation 21:4,5)
May these promises bring you comfort and peace.
Take care Britt. Sorry for your loss, you, your wife and kids have experience the last few weeks. God will take care of you and your family.
