Dennis Harper, age 71, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was dearly loved by his wife, Joy Graham Harper; his daughters, Kendra Vondran, Susan Baldwin, Dianne McCormick and Kim Ezel; and sons-in-law, Andy Vondran, Chris Baldwin and Chad McCormick. He had ten grandchildren who adored him, Harper, Abby, Preston and Meg Vondran, Carter, Cole, Ben and Mimi Baldwin, Olivia Harper and Tyler McCormick, all of Little Rock. Two sisters, Ollie Godwin (Neal) of Nashville, AR, Polly Harper of Atlanta, GA; brother, Fred Harper (Patsy) of Nashville, AR; mother-in-law, Margaret Graham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who greatly admired him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Irene Harper of Nashville, and his father-in-law, Luter Graham.
Dennis owned Harper Marketing Company and managed rental properties. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church.
Dennis enjoyed life to the fullest. He was passionate about working hard and spending time with his family. He loved his large, close extended family and the many blessings they brought to his life. He will be forever missed by those that love and knew him.
A celebration of Dennis' life will be held Monday, March 18, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, AR. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A private family interment service will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Sending my deepest heartfelt sympathy during this time of loss. The one thing that I will always remember about Mr. Harper, is the love that he had for his family. The world is darker now, but heaven has gained an incredible light.

I'm very sorry for your lose. I haven't seen Dennis since we were kids. We went to the Lewis family reunions in Ozan . My father, Olin Lewis, and Irene were first cousins.
I was sorry to hear about Dennis. We were cousins. Irene Lewis Harper and my father, Olin Lewis were first cousins. As kids ,we all had wonderful times at the Lewis Reunion in Ozan. I will be keeping you in my prayers.

I extend my deepest sympathies to the family of Dennis Harper. I am saddened by his passing for Dennis was my first boyhood hero as he was an All-State Tailback for the Nashville Scrappers. I last saw him in 2003 at the Scrapper reunion for Coach Dwight Jones. Dennis Harper was one of the good guys. He always had a smile. My prayers will be with his family.

I'm really going to miss Dennis. He gave me my first job in the candy business. He was more than an employer becasue he treated me like family. Even though he had retired, we had kept in touch and I'll miss the stories he would tell about his life as a candy salesman.

He was always asking questions about our kids and was interested in others. What a loss for all of his family and friends, but what joy in knowing that he will be waiting to see all of you in heaven. I missed Dennis at the Farr Shores POA Meeting last Saturday. We all missed him! He was so generous with his time and talent. Such a friend and neighbor-My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I know Dennis will continue his "projects" in heaven.

Joy and family -
I am so sorry to hear about Dennis and want you to know that I am praying for you. As you know, I can certainly understand some of what you are dealing with but I can also assure you that God is gracious and sufficient for these times. May you be flooded with great memories!
It just won't be the same around Farr Shores without Dennis. He was such a sweet and friendly neighbor. Bob and I are blessed to have known him. Our prayers are with Joy, Kentra, and all the family. He will be missed. Bob and Freida Gipson.
