Bessie Bee Toney, 101, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012. She was born in Stamps, Arkansas to the late Thomas Jefferson and Sally Johnson Tatom.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Gibbs, of North Little Rock; and five grandchildren, George Wagner, Mike Wagner, Herman Wagner, Dallas Gibbs, and Brookelyn and her husband, Westley, Ashley.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sons, Mark Wagner and Carl Bell.

Bessie was a member of the Baptist faith, and a lifelong member of Little Rock Association for the Deaf and Arkansas Association for the Deaf.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Arkansas School for the Deaf, Attn: C.J., 2400 W. Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Confederate Blvd., Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116 (501-791-7400).

We are the great grand children of Bessie. She was the only grandmother that we actually got to see! We all love her very muchs and will miss her forever and ever. We hope she is watching us because We can feel her in our heart. Let God watch over your family and Relatives. God bless you.:) :)

We really are sympathy about Bessie. She was a sweet lady and always smile. She always talked about her memory and family.

Bessie was such a sweet person. I enjoyed visiting her. She was always so appreciative of our visits. May our God hold her in his memory until the time when Jesus said, "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life..."

I have known Bessie when I was growing up. My parents were deaf and lived in Little Rock. She was so sweet lady.
