Brian and family, not sure if you will remember me from the old days in Marvell, AR. Not even sure if you still monitor this guestbook. Alison and I were thinking of you and I decided to search for you online and on Facebook and wound up discovering this news about Josh. I am so sorry to know that you have lost (temporarily) your son. I well remember Josh's sweet and jovial disposition. He was sure a handsome guy! I know you miss him more that I can imagine.

As you can see, we are far away from "home" at the moment. Would love to hear from you if you see this. Again, I was compelled to express my condolences, even though it has now been so long since Josh's death. We mourn, but not as those who have no hope. God Bless. Ken

I really don't know what to say. He was amazingly talented will never forget his version of Mary did you know, his voice was so beautiful! Always full of laughs made everyone around him happy! I don't understand how such good people have to suffer so much and go through so much pain. He will never be forgotten will always be missed! Josh and his family left big footprints on my life and my families life, they saved us. Taught me about Jesus Brother Brian baptized me at 11! Wonderful people who did not deserve to be attacked by the devil in such a painful way. Rest In Heaven Josh! I know my momma is up there with you enjoying your music!

Dear Brian, Pam, Jake and Family-- We just heard the news about Josh earlier today. I'm sorry we missed the visitation and service as we just didn't know. While we hadn't seen Josh in many years, I have fond memories of Josh as a youngster. I remember him showing up at my parents' house one Halloween when he was about 4 or 5 ddressed up as a clown--he was so cute and animated--he could really work the room even at that age! I know you are all proud of his talents and accomplishments in his life cut way too short. I bet he's keeping his doting grandparents entertained in heaven!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this very difficult time. Hope to visit with you soon. Love, Mark, Candy, Ross, and Paige

Dear Josh,

Every time I think about you, I remember laughter. I remember your presence. I remember connecting with you over music. You were a kindred spirit, and I will never forget you. You have taught us so much. Thank you for being you. "For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things he truly feels, and not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows and did it my way."

I'm glad you did.

I love you.

God I remember hating josh when he first came to Morrilton High School and Joined Choir and Music Theater...because he was so much better vocally that I was. And the amazing friendship that came out of that....will always be remembered. What a fight you put up over the years battling cancer, go rest now buddy. I bet there will be some pissed off angels in the heaven choir when you show them how its done. Much Love and Big hugs.

I remember what an imagination Josh had. I remember the many summers that you spent with the grandparents at Bee Branch and as soon as my chores were done I would cross the road and play GI Joe, Peter Pan, Batman and many other games that I was probably too old to play but Josh was hard to resist. He had such a way with making you feel welcome. I bet he already knows everyone's name in Heaven.

Josh was such an amazing inspiration to so many. I remember so many nights in the H.B. White Auditorium as we had rehearsals for the Sound of Music. He was such an amazing performer, singer, and dancer. I don't think that Josh met anyone that he didn't like. He was always very sweet and kind. I fully expected to see him perform in Vegas one day with the talent that he had. Instead, he is performing and singing in heaven with all of the other angels. You will be greatly missed, Josh!

Pam,

Praying for you and your family's comfort and strength.

2 Corinthians 5:8 - We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

We all know that Josh is now present with the Lord which is what we all look forward too one day. Josh's early departure is very heart breaking to me because I know he is your child and I have children, a son the same age. I cannot say I understand what you are going through because I have not had to go down that road yet. We can be laughing one day and crying the next, that is how fast our lives can change. Whatever God has in His will for my family I will have to accept even though accepting will not always be easy because we Christians are human too.

James 4:14 - Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

God bless you and your family during this difficult time!

Josh is truly a special person and to have been lucky enough to know him, I feel blessed because to know him is to love him. I always thought of him as part Angel and part RockStar. Josh is brilliant, beautiful, passionate, creative, courageous and so very talented. There was something almost magical about watching him play his guitar and sing, his blue eyes shining all the while, it was like he let you catch a glimpse of his soul for just a minute, and what a magnificent soul it is. He has touched us all in an unforgettable way and he will be missed greatly. My heart is full of sorrow for the family. Pam and Don, I am here for you always. I love you!
