Linda Akins, 57, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009. She was born in Conway, Arkansas on Monday, March 17, 1952 in Conway, Arkansas. Mrs. Akins was preceded in death by her father Roscoe Pegrum.
Mrs. Akins is survived by her mother, Dorothy Pegrum of Gravel Ridge; husband Larry E. Akins, Sr., her two sons; Dustin Benetz and wife Tracie of Cordova, TN., Corey Benetz and wife Teresa of Fayetteville, AR., and Stepson Larry E. Akins, Jr; Step Daughters, Cathy Shoemaker and husband James of Bryant, AR; Michelle Timms and husband Ben of Mayflower, AR; Sisters, Marilyn Sanders of Sherwood, AR; Carolyn Bell of Gravel Ridge, AR; in addition to nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends during visitation on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Roller Owens Funeral Home, 5509 J.F.K. Blvd, North Little Rock, AR. (Tel.501-791-7400)
I'm so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I would love to have seen her again. We grew up together from the time we were born til we graduated from high school. I have been out of the country for about 25 of the last 40 years but I still remember the great times that we had as kids. I will miss you cousin.

My heart aches for Dustin, Corey, Larry, Dorothy and the entire family for this tragic loss. I know how much she will be missed by her children and grandchildren. I didn't see Linda that often but every time that I did she was always so sweet and kind to me...I will miss her!

She always could uplift my spirits when I needed it. The memories we shared are etched on my heart. I am deeply saddened by her loss. I can only begin to grasp the loss you all must feel. She will be thought of and missed dearly!
