Martha Jane ''Baby Jane'' Rose Reed, 68, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 in Helena. Martha was born April 21, 1941 in Helena to Christine Harris Rose and the late Wilborn Rose. She was a homemaker and had worked at Helena Sportswear and in the cafeteria for the Helena-West Helena School District.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Herman Reed; a son, John David Reed and wife, Tina, of Tucson, Arizona; three granddaughters, Emily, Sara and Becky Reed, all of Tucson; her mother, Christine Rose, of Helena; four sisters, Wanda Smith of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Wilma Anderson of Forrest City, Arkansas, Kay Webb of Marianna, Arkansas, and Judie Akin of Lexa, Arkansas; two brothers, Ronald Rose of Brinkley, Arkansas and Donald Rose of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father and a beloved sister, Peggy Ann Vaught of Marianna.
Services for Martha Reed will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Roller-Citizens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Burial will be at LaGrange Cemetery in LaGrange Cemetery. Reverend Gary Anderson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Chris New, James Smith, Bradley Bridges, Curtis Bridges, Justin Tolar and Timothy Hollowell.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

I was very sad to hear of Janes death. we go back a long way and we had many laughs and fun times when we were all growing up in the old neighborhood. I send my deepest sympathy to all of you.
