Maxine Jackson McMillen, 80, of Greenbrier, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at Conway Regional Health System. A daughter of the late Will C. and Amanda Jackson, she was born September 17, 1927 near Morrilton. Mrs. McMillen was also preceded in death by her husband, Mason D. ''Sid'' McMillen, Jr., who died January 10, 1988; and a sister, Beatrice Gunderman. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Greenbrier.
Mrs. McMillen loved having her family around her for holidays, special family get-togethers, and the Jackson reunion. For many years-as remembered by her children-it was a given that Sunday dinner was always at her home.
She is survived by her children, Becky Edwards of Conway; Stan McMillen and Mickey McMillen both of Greenbrier; sisters, Helen Scott of Palmdale, California; Margaret Payne of Morrilton; grandchildren, Kim Welter, Kelly Tapley, Buck Joyner, Chad McMillen, Kasey Nunley, Braden and Mason McMillen; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; and a long-time friend, R. B. Smith.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 7th in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier, with Bob Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier. 501-679-2575.
