David Craig Johnston, 56, of Little Rock, Arkansas died May 8, 2008 in Little Rock.
He was born March 29, 1952 in Batesville, the son of Warner Guy Johnston and Betty Foster Johnston.
He was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Batesville High School in 1970. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, bicycling, climbing, and was a member of Pinnacle Mountain Hiking Club. He was of the Baptist faith. His body was donated to science.
He is survived by his wife, Bette Cornelius Johnston, of Little Rock; mother, Betty Foster Johnston of Batesville; a brother, Ben Johnston of Houston, Texas; a sister, Rebecca Johnston Reynolds and her husband, Randall, of Ashdown; nieces, Ashley Reynolds Mitchell and her husband, Fred Mitchell, of Ashdown and Sara Reynolds of Forth Worth, Texas; a great-niece, Brodie Mitchell of Ashdown and a number of aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warner Guy Johnston, brother Calvin Brion Johnston; and grandparents, Felix and Rosie Johnston, and Vida Foster.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Batesville.
