James Thomas ''Junior'' Lewis, Jr. was born on May 29, 1930, in Clarksville, to the late James T. & Viola McKnight Lewis. He died on July 19, 2007, at his home in Lamar, at the age of 77. He was a veteran of the Army, employed by Eureka Brick for 44 years, and served on the Lamar City Council for 41 years.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Bernice (Hall) Lewis; two daughters, Barbara Jean White & husband Larry & Jo Ann Snyder & husband Richard all of Lamar; three brothers, Clarence Lewis of Clarksville, AR, Earl Lewis of Clarksville, AR; & Lawrence Wayne Lewis of Fort Smith, AR; one sister, Lois Faubus of Kansas City, MO; & three grandchildren, Joshua Neal White, Rebekah Blaine Snyder, & Elizabeth Ann Snyder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James T. Lewis & Viola (McKnight) Lewis; one son, Michael James Lewis; brothers, Leon Lewis & J.T. Lewis, & one sister, Mildred Ingram.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2007. Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel in Clarksville with Reverend Don Carey & Reverend Richard Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the Lamar Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville (479) 754-2201.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Sexton, Jim White, Jimmy Ogden, Robert Hall, Danny Hall, & Earl Mason.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Johnson, Shaun Lewis, & Marty Tumbleson.

ever since i left lamar i have really missed this old toot..i worked at one of the stores in lamar and i saw him almost everyday...he's about as ornery as they come...i'm sure that he will be sorely missed...my prayers go out to his wife and family....he was a really good guy...i bought a homemade shelf from him and i will always have that as a reminder of him..i'm so glad that i became friends with him..my deepest sympathy
