Janice Marlyn Snyder, 83, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born in Helena, Arkansas on Monday, March 16, 1942, to the late Elmer and Mattie Pearl Hicks. She was a member of the Cypert Church of Christ in Marvell, Arkansas; enjoyed bowling and gardening, but her favorite hobby was singing.
Janice is survived by her beloved daughter, Karen Elmore (Gary) of West Helena, Arkansas; two grandsons, Shane Michael May of Jonesboro and Bryan Elmore of Southaven, Mississippi; two great-grandchildren, Liam Grayson May and Jordan Taylor May.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-five years, Odis Byron Snyder; parents, Elmer and Mattie Hicks; two brothers, Harvy Hicks and D.J. Hicks and sister, Nedra Ramey.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary Elmore, Bryan Elmore, Jackson Vessells and Jarron Vessells.
A funeral service honoring the life of Janice Snyder will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Brother Mark Spencer will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas.
