Billie "Susie" Sue Gifford

of Clarksville, AR

July 6, 1933 - March 25, 2025

Billie Sue Gifford was born in Spadra, Arkansas on July 6, 1933 to John and Inez (Saxton) Gifford. She was a beautiful little blond-haired girl who was soon to be joined by brother, Joe and two sisters, Carol (''Pistol'') and Judy Ann (''Pill'').

Susie loved being busy! She enjoyed crafts and coloring, playing with her dolls, riding her bike and making money! She collected cans and picked up black walnuts to sell in town.

Perhaps more than anything, Susie loved children. She spent time bouncing, holding and singing to each of her nieces and nephews, who at one time or another was her ''favorite''.

People were drawn to Susie and loved her. She leaves many memories with her ''adopted'' family from Young Homes in Russellville, where she was a resident for eighteen years.

Her laughter and love will be missed by all she touched. We will each have special memories or moments shared and be blessed for having her in our lives.

She is survived by her brother, Joe Gifford and wife, Barbara; sister, Carol Phillips and husband, Don; sister, Judy Rofkahr; nieces and nephews and many more family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas.

I have many fond memories of Billie Sue as I played Barbies with her as I waited for my grandma Nelle Morgan to get her hair fixed by Mrs Inez. She would tell me of her love for Elvis and how he was leaving Priscilla to marry her!! I believed her for a while! After my grandparents passed away I never saw Billie Sue again but I will never forget her and I’m happy that she gets to go be with Jesus and her family that have passed on! My most sincere condolences to her remaining family.
