Marcia and I graduated from JHS, Class of ‘65 and were active in FBLA. Marcia, Loretta Gamble, Gail Turyna and each had an office our senior year, Marcia was treasurer. Our paths crossed several time through the years. Her smile never changed änd I always felt better having run into her. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
Marcia was always a sweet friend to me. She had a beautiful voice & sang solos at Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was friendly & always had a smile on her face. She loved the Lord & served Him well in her life here on earth. You will be missed for sure.
Sister I miss you. I will always be thinking of you.
Jennifer, I worked with your mom for a number of years at Merchants and Planters Bank. She sure did love you and Spencer. She was a joy to be around and we shared MANY laughs together. One of my best memories of Marcia was when the bank celebrated its 50th Anniversary and we had a full day of activities in downtown Newport. Marcia, Carla Stiger, Regina Lake and I created a group to perform and called ourselves the Supreme Bank Notes. We had a wonderful time preparing together and, on the day of the event, we were "dressed to the nines" in our sequined gowns, gloves and wigs while we sang Supremes songs with M&P words on the big stage!!! It was a great time together and just one of many special memories that I have with Marcia. I am so thankful to have known her and worked with her.
