Georgia Grace Johnston, 83, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Helena, Arkansas. She was born on Sunday, August 24, 1941 in Marvell, Arkansas to the late Joe and Ittie Barnes. Georgia was a member of the Lexa Baptist Church and worked part time for some years as a postmaster in Turner, Arkansas. Beyond that she spent her time raising her four children.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-four years and nine months, Johnny Johnston; four sons, Randy Johnston (Deb), Steve Johnston (Kim), Mark Johnston (Jeni) and Joseph Johnston; grandchildren, Adam Johnston, Lance Johnston, Lindsey Sbravati, Noah Johnston, Mollie Lewis, Jillian Lewis, Katie Sullivan, Kyle Johnston, Cale Johnston, Dallas Johnston, Jacob Johnston, Cole Johnston and Owen Johnston; a host of great-grandchildren and sister, Carolyn Webb.
Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ittie Barnes; several siblings and one grandson, Justin Johnston.
Serving as pallbearers are Donnie Bentley, Jerry James, Curtis Rohrscheib and Rudy Weaver.
A visitation for Georgia will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the Lexa Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Lexa, Arkansas. Brother Nathan Perry will officiate.

Johnny, Steve, Randy, Mark and Joey: I am just heartsick for you all over the loss of your mom. I will always have special memories of her as she was one of the best friends my mom could have.
