Larry Ballard, 76, of Jonesboro passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on November 18, 1948 in Newport to A D and Kathryn Ballard. Larry was a graduate of Arkansas State University. He worked for Dupont and is of the Baptist faith. Larry enjoyed golfing, working out, yardwork and all-ASU sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sister, Janice Hargett (Fred); nephews, Fred Hargett III (Weslynn), Andrew Hargett (Summer) and a great nephew, Camp Hargett and a longtime companion, Debbie Walker.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:00pm at Nettleton Cemetery.
The family requests those who wish to visit please gather at 1:30 pm at the graveside.
Family will serve as pallbearers.

Sorry that this has happened, no one want's to lose a brother, sister or parent there's no way to prepare for this. You will hold them in your mind and heart as long as you are here, remembering all the good times. Just know I love all of you. Hope all you rest good tonight.

RIP my friend. We had lots of good times. We were roommates several times in the late 70’s. I was glad to be your friend back then. Do you remember the nick name you called me We will all miss you.
