of Hot Springs Village, AR
December 21, 1947 - February 21, 2025
Deana Lee Gasaway, 77, of Hot Springs Village Arkansas passed away on February 21, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born December 21, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ermon Lee and Pauline Aline Cullum. She was also preceded in death by her brother David Michael Cullum.
Deana was known for her unwavering love and devotion to her family and her Lord Jesus Christ. As a homemaker, she created a warm, welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and delicious smells from her kitchen. Deana had a remarkable gift for remembering the smallest details. In fact, she never forgot the birthday of anyone she met. Deana always made sure that no one left her home without feeling special. Her ability to make everyone feel like family was a gift she shared with all who knew her.
A passionate lover of shopping, Deana would often spend her days browsing through stores, looking for the perfect gift or a little something to brighten someone's day. Her thoughtful nature was always reflected in the gifts she carefully selected and the moments she shared with those she loved.
One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her granddaughter, Katelyn. The two would often be found in the kitchen, laughing and baking together. Whether it was cookies, cakes, or her delicious pies, Deana's kitchen was always filled with the sweet scent of homemade treats, and the bond between grandmother and granddaughter was a treasure beyond measure.
Deana's life was a beautiful example of selflessness, kindness, and joy. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Deana leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry Glenn Gasaway, her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Caldwell (Scott), her cherished granddaughter, Katelyn Alyssa Tester (Colson), who will continue to bake with love in her memory, and her great grandson, Kenton Bryan Case Tester, who was her absolute pride and joy.
We would love to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Comfort Care Hospice and Hospice Home Care for their compassionate care and unwavering support during our precious Deana's final days. Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication brought comfort and peace during such a difficult time. We are deeply thankful for their exceptional service and the comfort they provided.
A private family service will be held to honor Deana's life. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause dear to her heart.
Deana will always be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she so freely gave to others.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 3:00 pm at Roller Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR 72209
