of Mountain View, AR
July 31, 1955 - February 26, 2025
Roy Dwayne Swafford, age 69, entered his new home in Heaven Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was born July 31, 1955 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Roy and Minnie (Tubbs) Swafford. In 1975, he married Annette (Hall) Swafford.
Dwayne always loved horses or anything to do with them. He loved checking cows with his grandkids and mowing his yard; if you were ever allowed to mow you had better do it the right way. If you stopped to visit, you needed to be prepared to spend an hour or two for the stories. He treasured his time with his grandchildren; he never felt he had enough time with them.
Dwayne was a lifelong member of Arbanna Baptist Church.
Dwayne is preceded in death by his grandparents; his father and mother, Roy and Minnie (Tubbs) Swafford; mother and father in law, Herschal and Margie (Potnode) Hall; his son, Ray Swafford; sister, Barbara Lawson and his sister in law, Lucretia Swafford.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Swafford of Mountain View, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Sydney (Aaron) Rogers of Tuckerman, Arkansas, Andrew Swafford of Mountain View, Arkansas; Katherine Swafford of Mountain View, Arkansas; one great granddaughter, Oakley Jo Rogers of Tuckerman, Arkansas; two brothers, Randy (Lilly) Swafford and Glen Swafford both of Mountain View, Arkansas; two sisters, Brenda (Paul) Plumb of Milford, Kansas and Linda (Jack) Fletcher of Ida, Arkansas and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service for Dwayne will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, 2:00PM at Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brothers Jim Chandler and Glen Swafford officiating.

a little story ... us boys at a young age got brand new motor cycles.. The Swafford clane had a gang of out fits riding allover mtn view arkansas...One day we all were in our teens . Went on a long ride through the mountains of northern arkansa sit was getting late in the evening headed back to our home .. not riding crazy i came upon a sharp turn in the highway ... I see a human head about half way through the turn i see Dwayne head popping up on the side of the high way.. i pulled over and checked him out alll was good and we all got on our bike and headed home... Dwayne was ok allm was good but he could have been killed that daay...
