Wanda Snyder, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Lexa, Arkansas on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born on Monday, October 23, 1939 in Helena, Arkansas to the late L.J. Landers and Iva P. (Bratcher) Landers. She was a member of Lexa Methodist Church. After graduating from Barton High School in 1957, Wanda went to work at the Arkansas Department of Welfare in Phillips County. In 1959 she married the love of her life, Wiley Snyder. Wanda left the workforce when her first child was born to be a full-time mother and homemaker. She decided to go back to work during her children's college years. She worked at the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service for thirty-three years and five months until her retirement at the age of 75. Wanda enjoyed shopping and travel. Her favorite trips were to the beach or lake with family. She loved water and sunshine! She was adored by her cat, Kitty Poo and Michelle's dog, Sippi.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Snyder; son, Sherman Snyder, his wife, Kelli and her three grandchildren, Lily, Luke and Drew Snyder.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years and 9 months, Wiley Snyder; her parents, L.J. and Iva P. (Bratcher) Landers and her sister, Mae L. Diehl.

The family of Wanda Snyder would like to acknowledge and thank her caregivers of two and a half years, Pearlean Moore and Jo Freeman. They, along with Michelle, allowed her to live out her life in her home of sixty-six years.

Active pallbearers will be Drew Snyder, Luke Snyder, Sherman Snyder, Charles Lovell, Jackson Young and Jason Turner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Amir Mehrabi, Randy Bates and Eugene Turner.

A graveside service for Wanda Snyder will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Nathan Perry will officiate. Interment will follow the service.

The family requests memorials may be made to the Tunica Humane Society, P.O. Box 236, Tunica, MS 38676 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
