Edward F. Ahne, 83, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He was born on April 15, 1941 in Scranton to his parents, Frank and Margaret Ann (Smith) Ahne.
Edward was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from Cessna Aircraft in Wichita Kansas after 32 years of service. After moving back to Scranton he maintained his cattle farm and was a member of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton. He enjoyed reading, going hunting and fishing and playing cards.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Carol C. (Jones) Ahne; two sisters, Mary Greismeier and Charlotte Waits; three brothers, Victor Ahne, Eric Ahne and Frankie Ahne and one grandson, Kevin Ahne.
He is survived by one daughter Lori Redding and husband Jason of Paris; one son, Jesse Ahne of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Margie Spillers and husband Danny of Prairie View and Rita Brown of Benton; one brother, David Ahne and wife Gail of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren, Jonathon Starmer, Bryce Johnson, Carol Johnson and Steve Ahne and ten great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel.
A graveside service for burial of cremated remains will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025 at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery officiated by Fr. John Miranda. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
