Josefa ''Peppi'' Mausser, 102, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.

''Peppi'', as everyone called her, was born June 17, 1922 in Weissenstein, Gottschee Slovenia formally Yugoslavia, to her parents, Alois Kraker and Johanna (Eppich) Kraker. Peppi worked as a short order cook for several restaurants in or around Durham, California where she lived. She also loved to sew, crochet and grow vegetables in her garden, grow fruit trees and various types of flowers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mausser; two sons, Josef and Adolf Mausser; three brothers, Alois Kraker, Josef Kraker and Adolf Kraker and four sisters, Pauli Kinkopf, Angela Kinkopf, Marie Hoge and Stefani Raith.

She is survived by her two daughters, Frieda Ford of Scranton, Arkansas and Erna Harman and husband, Patrick of Chico, California; three grandchildren, Christopher Ford and wife, Jackie of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Corry Ford and partner, Chad Buckwalter of Rock Island, Illinois and Valerie Hull and husband, Maynard of Springfield, Oregon; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Ford, Ryan Ford, Jordan Ford, Bethany Ford and partner, Asa Houze, Ethan Ford, Kristie Powell and Jeff Shores; twelve great-great grandchildren, Hugo Ford, Rosie Ford, Ember Houze, Ivory Houze, Aiden Powell, Nash Powell, Dora Powell, Mathias Powell, Kenai Powell, Kara Shores, BriAnn Shores and Justin Shores; numerous other family members and friends.

The family will have a memorial service at Durham Cemetery in Durham, California at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
