Bill Hatcher, 82, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in Charleston, Arkansas. He was born on January 24, 1943 in Paris to his parents, Harold and Corine (Ezell) Hatcher.
Bill was retired from the Paris School District having worked both as a custodian and school bus driver and served on the Paris City Council for 18 years. He loved crappie fishing, going hunting, especially quail hunting when he was younger and going camping with his wife, Nita. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and loved to spend time with his grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events. He was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Paris.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Nita Hatcher; one brother, Jack Hatcher and one granddaughter, Arie Hatcher Savage.
He is survived by four sons, Stan Hatcher and wife, Sandy of Paris, Randy Hatcher of Paris, Britt Hatcher of Paris and Chris Hatcher and wife, Farah of Paris; one sister, Janice Shelton and husband, Bob of Alma; 8 grandchildren, Nikki Albright and husband, Brett, Tranisa Townsend and husband, Andrew, Coty Hatcher and wife, Brooke, Tori Hatcher, Ryan Hatcher and wife, Rianna, Macy Koch and husband, Taylor, Keller Keen and Jagger Hatcher; 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Paris officiated by Rev. Harlin Brewton and Rev. Bob Shelton. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Coty Hatcher, Ryan Hatcher, Jagger Hatcher, Andrew Townsend, Keller Keen and Taylor Koch.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nikki Albright, Brett Albright, Tranisa Townsend, Tori Hatcher, Macy Koch, Brooke Hatcher and Rianna Hatcher.
Family, we are so sorry for the loss of Bill. He was such a good man. Many memories of him and Nita at First Baptist. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
