Here’s a longer and more heartfelt version that really honors your friendship:

John Lewis was not just an amazing man—he was my best friend, and I truly don’t have the words to explain the depth of loss I feel in my heart. It’s hard to believe that someone so full of life, laughter, and love could be gone so soon. Every day with John was an adventure; he had this incredible ability to turn even the simplest moments into something unforgettable. His energy was contagious, and his heart was bigger than anyone I’ve ever known—always ready to give, to help, and to love without hesitation.

I can’t imagine how much his family must be hurting, and my thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. I hope they find some comfort in knowing how many lives John touched and how much joy he brought to everyone around him.

I feel incredibly blessed to have shared so many memories with him. He wasn’t just a friend; he was my very best friend. Rest in peace, John Lewis—you’ll never be forgotten. Until we meet again at that big casino in the sky, I’ll carry your spirit with me in everything I do!

The area has lost a legend. John Lewis was always in church every Sunday. He volunteered at many charitable organizations. He was known as a man you could always depend on in every way. His service to the Twin Lakes Area just can't be summed up in mere words. I just don't know how the area will be able to cope with such a loss.
