of Quitman, AR
May 14, 1934 - January 6, 2025
Tommy Lane Shaw was born May 14, 1934, and passed away January 6, 2025, due to injuries from a car accident.
Tommy was born on the family farm to the late Tom J. and Fern Shaw. Tommy started school at Centerville and transferred to Quitman School when Centerville consolidated with Quitman. He graduated from Quitman in 1952 and attended Arkansas State Teachers College (UCA). From college Tommy enlisted in the army where he served in Korea. Upon completion from the army Tommy went to work for Nabholz Supply and later with NABCO.
Tommy lived most of his life on the family farm. He loved to hunt fox, coyote, deer and turkey. He spent most of his retirement working his cattle, hunting and enjoying life. Tommy's death has left a void in our family that will never be replaced, and he will be missed by all of us.
Tommy is preceded in death of his wife Lou, parents and sister June Shaw Puloma. He is survived by his brother TJ Shaw (Alana). His children, Judy Vint (Mike), Sherri Bixler (Mike), Rex Shaw (Tammy); grandchildren, Nicholas Acre (Carolyn), Alexis Sasaki (Jason), Katie Kerr (Dalton), Ethan Shaw (Baylee); great-grandchildren; Gage, Oakley, Samuel, Bennett.
As requested by Tommy, his ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony on Shaw's Family Farms when the pasture is green, and the Buttercups are blooming.
