Thomasene ''Tommie'' Stauffer Bennett, 92, of Oppelo and formerly from North Little Rock, was born on June 24, 1932. She gained her angel wings on January 30, 2025 after a long illness.

Tommie was born in Gurdon, Arkansas to Thomas and Archie Scott. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Stauffer and second husband, Vaughn Bennett; sisters, Viola Glover, Lois McNeeley, Daphane Calhoun, Loretta Perry, Bobbie Franklin, Juanelle Williams and grandson, Cory Bennett.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Donnie) Titus of Oppello; Danny (Brenda) Bennett of Sherwood, Nelda (Dennis) Hansen of Hot Springs, Doug Bennett of Hot Springs; brother, Thomas (Becky) Scott of North Little Rock; sister, Janice (Jimmy) Kent of Maumelle; grandchildren, Zach (Ariel) Wheeler of Oppello, Jesse Wilkins of Alaska, Amberlea (Todd) Barnes of Stuttgart, Whitney (Wesley) Watson of Hot Springs and by numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Tommie was a homemaker and worked as a lunchroom monitor at Sherwood Elementary.
She never met a stranger and hugged you whether she knew you or not.

She made many friends when she lived at Parkstone Place.

Tommie. was my big sister and she broke up many a fights between me and Janice my little sister I will miss her smile many Huggs.Love you Bubba.

Aunt Tommie was a wonderful aunt and gave the best hugs. She was always happy and so energetic! She will certainly be missed by so many who knew and loved her. Hugs and blessings to Karen and all the family.
