Jerry Lester Cantrell, 78, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Little Rock. He was born on September 23, 1946 in Little Rock to James Lester Cantrell and Sylvia Miller Cantrell. Jerry was a proud graduate of Central High School in Little Rock and was a devoted member of Sharon Baptist Church in Benton.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Jerry served during the Vietnam War and held his military service close to his heart. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing and spent many cherished moments in the deer woods.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry is survived by two daughters, Michelle Foster and her husband, John of North Little Rock and Melanie Wilkie and her husband, Jonathan of Benton; four grandchildren, Kara Richards of Benton, Sylvia Foster of North Little Rock, Sarah Grace Marin and her husband, Heriberto of North Little Rock and Jase Wilkie of Benton and one great-grandchild, Ella Lewis of Hensley.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home of Benton.

So very sorry to hear this news. Jerry and I met in our late teens and then got to catch up via Facebook. He was a good man and is now in Heaven to watch over us. Rest in pease sweet friend.
