Nancy Lynn Riley, age 85, of Little Rock, Arkansas peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1939 in Crossett, Arkansas. She married Hubert C. Riley, Jr. on January 27, 1962 and the two were married for 63 years. After graduating from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1961, she taught in the Jacksonville, Little Rock and Pine Bluff school districts. Nancy was an avid tennis player and participated in league tennis until she was 80 years old.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Armstrong. She is survived by her husband, Hubert; sister, Judy Clyburn; sister-n-law, Beth Morgan; three children, Kim Riley Linam (Mark), Kathy Riley Bryant (Larry) and Greg Riley (Christy); five grandchildren, Meredith Linam Avise, Kirk Linam, Emma Riley Feyas, Eryn Riley Collier, Riley Bryant and one great-grandchild, Warren Riley Avise.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 9:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 am at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, AR. Pastor Mark Norman will be officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Rawls Cemetery in Crossett, Arkansas. The family will receive friends and family after the graveside service at First Baptist Church of Crossett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Valley United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice

So thankful to have known Nancy since 1st Grade. She was a wonderful friend and classmate. We treasure the memories of the great times we spent together at Crossett High School. Hubert and all of the family are in our prayers.

Jim and I were so saddened to hear of Nancy’s passing. You and Nancy were our next door neighbors for many years and we will cherish all the memories. Our condolences and prayers for you and family during this sad time.
So sorry for your loss. We will miss Nancy and her wonderful personality. We had some wonderful times on the tennis court and tennis trips and lunch times. We had some fun times at the beach as the High Maintenance Ladies. Will keep all the family in our prayers.

I remember fondly your family from Trinity Methodist and also the Armstrongs from West Helena. I am so sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. Mike told me recently of her illness.
