Karla Jane Haley, 57, of Benton passed away on Friday, January 3rd in Heartland, Health and Rehabilitation Center in Benton. 

Karla was born Karla Jane Cox in Benton, Arkansas at Saline Memorial to Joe and Veda Cox early in the morning on August 24,1967. Karla attended Benton High School where she was a member of the pep squad and graduated in 1985. She went on to get her bachelors degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and then obtained her nursing degree and her nurse practitioner degree from UAMS in Little Rock

She later served as APRN at Prudential in Little Rock before taking ownership of her family business, Gas N Go formerly of Benton in 1998 and then opening Haley's Storage Centers of Benton with her husband, Brett Haley formerly of Benton.

Karla was a very driven person and cared deeply about her community. She served on the Benton City Council as Alderman of Ward 1 Position 1. She also enjoyed spending time with her father and family on their family farm where she grew up as a little girl learning to tend cows with her dad and cousin Jason Cox of AL. As well as hunting and fishing there with her husband. All knowledge and experiences that she passed on to her children later.

Karla is survived by her mother, Veda Cox, 94, of Benton; her brother, Gary Cox of AL; Her sister, Pam Cox of TX; Her two Children, Michael Haley, 33 and Rachael Haley, 25 of Benton. She leaves behind her 2 Grand Children, Odin Haley of Grand Rapids, MI and Raelynn Yenner of Benton; As well as nephews, Zack and Lucas Haley of Benton.

Karla is preceded in death by her husband, Brett Haley of Benton.

Public visitation will be held at Roller Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas on Wednesday, January the 8th from 6 to 8 PM.
