Ruby Kirkendoll

of Clinton, AR

January 1, 1937 - December 23, 2024

Martha Ruby Kirkendoll of Clinton, Arkansas was born on January 1, 1937 in Plant, Arkansas to the late David Cisroe and Mary Eddie (Gardener) Bramlett and peacefully passed from this life on December 23, 2024 at her home. Our beloved matriarch is with her Lord and Savior and was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Vaughan D. Kirkendoll; daughter, Louise Anderson; grandchildren; Jeremy Kirkendoll, Jasmine Kirkendoll, Cortni Tacker, Brandon Kirkendoll; her parents and her siblings, Helen Barnett, David Joe Bramlett, Lorene Sigler, Betty Ruth Bramlett and Jeweldean Campbell.

Ruby or as most called her, Grandma Ruby, lived a life full of adventure led by determination and love. She grew up on Highway 110 and may have known a few things about moonshine making, walking to school, to the movies or just hanging out on the mountain. She married Vaughn at a young age and they started an adventure spending most of her life cutting timber, running a chainsaw and a loader with her husband. Ruby did whatever it took to feed her family. Her family's venture in construction took them to Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky following constructions jobs. She pursued many interests like camping, hunting, fishing, gardening and canning. Her grandchildren loved listening to her stories. Ruby never turned a child away, often having multiple kids staying over for weeks and months at a time. She'd ask for a head count to make biscuits and gravy. You never went hungry if she was around, she literally could make a home cooked meal out of nothing. Grandma Ruby leaves us with memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, Fourth of July camping trips and a whole lot of love. Mom, Grandma, you are the resemblance of Proverbs 31.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Kay Teague, Dale Kirkendoll, David Kirkendoll, Jimmy Kirkendoll and Jeff (Paula) Kirkendoll; grandchildren, Shawn Teague, Kayen Sawrie, Leah Teague, Josh Teague, Nikkina Porter, Kandi Looney, Danielle Blazer, Josie Anderson, Heather Anderson-Short, Shannon Terrien, Shane Harness, Amanda Young, Michael Kirkendoll, Ronnie Kirkendoll, Bobby Kirkendoll, Teddy Kirkendoll, Jennifer Johnson, Jason Kirkendoll, Rachel Kirkendoll and Jacob Kirkendoll; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Cecil Bramlett, Margrett Griffith, Wade Bramlett, Sallie Tumlinson; extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Pee Dee Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas.

Spent many a day and night at Vaughn & Ruby's. I considered her as MOM, and always stopped by to visit whenever I went thru Clinton. One memory I cherish was when Mom and Aunt Rene were hunting down in the bottoms in a cut over. Sounded like WW3 with all the shooting, They both carried enough ammo there for a small war. Several of us went down to see what was going on, and a deer ran out and collapsed in the field. We asked them what were they shooting at, and Mom said "we never fired a shot"....We asked them, then where did this deer come from.. Mom quickly said "I told you I het that deer!! LOL!! GOD love her, she was a hard worker, never let anyone go hungry, or go away tired. You were made to feel at home. Love You Mom Ruby...

Ruby

I have so many fun memories of you.
I may have been your baby sister but you treated me like I was one of your children. Thank you for that and for loving me unconditionally. Louise and I could always come to you with any problem and you would find a way to make it better. I love you Ruby and I always will. I will still remember your birthday on New Year’s Day and always wish you a Happy Birthday.
Love you forever, Sallie

Grandma Ruby I have so many great memories of the times we had together from picking strawberries out of your garden, helping you and poppy Kirk cut up wood to the many many camping trips full of swimming, fishing, playing horse shoes and riding 3 wheelers. Your heart was always full of love for all of us. Although with your passing there is an empty space there is also peace in knowing your resting in the arms of Jesus and the reuniting with those who went on before you.

Grandma Ruby,

Thank you for loving me and the boys unconditionally. There are no words to express the void you have left with your passing. I know an angel went home and heaven is a little sweeter with you there. My prayers are with your family. May you rest in peace.

Love you
Lisa, Mike, Ronnie, Bobby, Teddy and family

To say we lost our matriarch in our family is such a true statement. You were the centerpiece that brought us all together and taught us to share, care, and love one another. I will forever hold so many wonderful memories of you through out my life. Until we meet again Grandma! Love you so very much!

I will always remember Aunt Ruby and mama (Lorene Sigler) and their fishing and hunting trips. No two women on this earth loved to fish and hunt like they did. They might have had a few shenanigans or mishaps but you wouldn't find out about it till long afterwards. I can still hear them laughing over those stories. Oh isn't Heaven having a glorious party today. Gone but never forgotten. Love you aunt Ruby!
