Lena "Jo" Raney, 92, of Little Rock was born February 6, 1932 and died December 7, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Norborn "Nub" Raney; Her parents, Matt and Gertie Wayne; sisters, Irene Stewart, Betty Suggs and a grandson, Matthew Daniel.

Jo and her husband owned and operated Nub's One Stop until their retirement. A few years later she came out of retirement and worked for the U.S. Census Bureau.

She is survived by daughter, Vickie Henderson; son, Paul Raney; grandsons, Sheldon Raney and Michael Daniel; Two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Edmondson and two nieces.

She was thoughtful and always wanted to help and take care of family and friends. One of her favorite things was her garden and it had to be large enough so she could share the fruits of her labor. She always made sure to plant Zinnia's and Merigold's at the end of the rows to have something pretty to look at. Even during her illness, she made sure her son planted a patch of greens so everyone could have some this fall.

She didn't want a fuss, so there will not be a service, just a private burial at a later date.
