Mark Steven Parker, aged 65, died on November 30th surrounded by family. Mark was born on April 26th, 1959 in Charleston, MO to the late Carl Vernon and Anita J. (Lynch) Parker. He was a 1977 graduate of Sikeston High School in Sikeston, MO.
Mark's number one passion was racing, whether that was watching them on TV or in person. He was an avid racer, racing Mini Sprints for many years at many of the dirt tracks in the Mid-South. When he wasn't racing, he was either helping other racers in the pits, filming the races or in the last few years being an official tech for IMCA Modlite STARS Series. If you knew Mark, you knew his passion was racing. This was a passion that he shared with so many friends and especially his son.
On 10/2/2023, he married Debra (Dee) Hoffman in Marion, AR. He is survived by his wife, Dee; daughter, Stephanie (Melody) Parker of Springfield MO; Son, Steven (Katelynn) of Athens, TN and Brothers, Carl Leroy (Chris) of Omaha, NE, Stan Parker of Cathedral City, CA and John (Cindy) Parker of Mount Dora, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation services will be held this Saturday, December 7th from 3-5pm at Roller- Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis AR.
There will be a celebration of life in the Spring of 2025 at Riverside International Raceway. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a Celebration of Life Race, details TBD.
RIP Mark. As you know I live with my granddaughter Katelynn and your son Steven. I will take care of them. Would you say hellow to my husband I lost in May. I miss him so much.

Met him several times he was a good guy. He will be missed by many. Gone but never forgotten. Forever in our hearts.
