Michael Miller, 70, of Little Rock, Arkansas, loving husband and father, passed away November 28, 2024. A Little Rock business owner and CPA for 48 years, Mike didn't know a stranger. His passion for cooking, golfing and following the Razorback football team enriched the lives of those around him. It was not unusual to find a crowd of friends and relatives enjoying his ribs or gumbo and listening to Jerry Jeff Walker, Kris Kristofferson, Robert Earl Keen and Guy Clark.
Mike married the love of his life, Brooke Frieden Miller, November 20, 1976 and he considered her his best friend and confidante from the day he met her until this day. He loved his son, Rob Miller with the entirety of his being. The family adored three labrador retrievers, Grits, Dixie and Roxie.
Mike was a member of the Rotary Club of Little Rock (Club 99), he was a Paul Harris Fellow, founder of the Executive Networking Organization, Twentieth Century Club Hope Award recipient and a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Xi Chapter and served on the Board of Arkansas Hospice. Mike was a CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
Mike was born January 17, 1954 in the Azores, Portugal to Ed and Libby Miller. He attended Neville High School in Monroe, LA and was a member of the Tigers Football team. He attended the University of Arkansas graduating with a B.S. in Accounting.
Mike is survived by his wife, Brooke; son, Rob and daughter-in-law, Louise of Little Rock; brother, Lyle Miller (Lisa) of Monroe, LA; sisters, Debbie Westbrook of Jackson, MS and Patty Mauldin (Mick) of Baton Rouge, LA; brother-in-law, Lex Frieden (Joyce) of Houston, TX and nieces, Natalie Moore and Lauren Rosendahl and nephews, Thomas Westbrook and David Miller.

Condolences may be shared with family through Roller-Chenal Funeral Home at rollerfuneralhomes.com. Mike had requested that memorials be made to Highland Valley UMC, 15524 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211; Kappa Sigma Xi Educational Foundation of Arkansas, P.O. Box 250333 Hillcrest Station, Little Rock, AR 72225 and Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116.
I'll always remember the good times with Mike when we were in college, and the chemistry he and Brooke had for each other. I saw Mike for the last time two years ago at the annual Kappa Sig pig roast, and I'm so glad we got to cross paths again. Brooke, hang in there kiddo. We're all thinking about you.
Dear Brooke, I was so sad to hear of Mike’s passing. I have good memories of our time together at Fontenay get togethers. I hope your many good memories of your life with Mike will be a comfort to you and Rob.
Thinking of you, Louise

I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of Mike's passing. He had been an incredibly good friend to me for almost 20 years since I joined his ENO group. Having landed in the Little Rock area with a new business and almost no connections, Mike was always supportive to me in sharing business opportunities, social events and relationships. I will truly miss his sporadic phone calls discussing technical issues, football games, and even old "Stagecoach" western movies... A great man in kindness and a fantastic friend, I know he will be missed by all who knew him. I'm praying that the Good Lord will help provide comfort to Brooke, Rob, and family during this most difficult time, as well as to all of us who feel the pain of Mike's loss.
Our flight home was early this morning. We will be remembering Mike with a Mexican Mule which he introduced me to, and whiskey and a cigar for Roger. Blessings and prayers for Brook, Rob, and Louise!
Mike was one of my first and favorite professional mentors. As a young Accountant, he taught me to appreciate not just the numbers but the people behind them. He was so devoted to the success of each of his clients and a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to tell him how much I appreciated his wisdom. It’s hard to imagine that I almost waited too long to let him know just how much he shaped my professional journey. His passing was a reminder to share those sentiments sooner than later.
My condolences and prayers are with his family! He will be deeply missed and forever counted among those with a life well lived!
Our hearts are so saddened by this news. We had some fun times with Mike and Brooke years ago in dinner club. I pray that memories will help Brooke and their son, Rob during this sad and difficult time in their life.
Brooke I’m so sorry. Please know how much I love you and that I’m praying for you .

Mike was such a legend. He loved his family and his friends and kept them close. I’m grateful to have known him. My heart and prayers go out to Brooke, Rob and all his friends and family. I take comfort in knowing he knew Christ and will be cheering for the Razorbacks in that stadium in the sky.

We were so lucky to be your and Mike's next door neighbor and it was our great pleasure to be friends. He welcomed us (perfect strangers) completely and his humor, generosity, and wisdom were so welcome and valued. I remember when we asked Mike to watch our house when we were gone (and Julia remained at home). Mike noticed too many cars in our drive - all he had to do was walk in the door and the house emptied out immediately. His loss is difficult to imagine. Betsey and I were talking about Mike and Brooke just this week as we broke out 'The Last Waltz' as we prepared our Thanksgiving dinner. Our condolences - we think of you often and now our thoughts are of your loss.
We are saddened by this news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
With prayers for you, Brooke, and your family. I am so sorry! May sweet memories bring you comfort as you mourn the loss of Mike. I am saddened to read this news. Bless you as you grieve the huge hole he leaves here.

Brooke,
I am heartbroken for you and your family. Mike was the foundation of our ENO group and a trusted advisor to us all. He helped me thru many budget meetings and daily accounting issues. I will truly miss working with him and knowing that he would always say exactly what he thought without any filter. He always had my back and I knew that I could always depend on him for support.
I'm sorry I will miss his Celebration of Life. I plan on raising my glass to him often over the next two weeks while I'm on vacation.
Sending my love and prayers for you.
Melissa

Brooke and family our prayers are with you during this difficult time. Mike and I go back to our old Jaycee days when we were both starting out and he was my CPA for several years. Mike and I first met, in the summer of 1972, as new Kappa Sigma pledges. After graduation, we went our separate ways. I feel fortunate to have been able to reconnect with Mike through the Xi chapter bbq's.

Prayers for peace.
We wish Mike's family, friends and especially Brooke strengh and prayers during this time as we reflect on how short our time in this world is. God has His plan, we just don't know when He calls us home. I'm sure Mike is cooking, talking Hog ball and his golf game with everyone in heaven. We will celebrate Mike and support each other and Brooke with our love. Everyday is a gift. Sincerely Tim & Gina
From the first moment I met Mike, I’ve considered him a true friend. Hard-working, fun-loving, thoughtful, generous, kind, concerned and truly caring. I am already missing my Mike.
But, in his usual style, he has probably decided to cook up a super fine meal and invite those he has joined in Heaven to share in his generosity and fellowship. Keep it going.
Love ya, Mike!
Mike will be missed and remembered by all of us who were fortunate enough to be his friend!
Brooke will always be a welcome sight wherever I am.
Prayers for Rob, Louise, and all of the Miller family.
Just saw Mike's smiling face last week on the golf course. Sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed on and off the course. Prayers for his friends and Family.
Brooke, just can’t tell you how very sorry I am about Mike! I am praying for comfort & peace for you & your family.
