Carol O'Bryan Toland

of Sherwood, AR

May 16, 1946 - November 28, 2024

Carol O'Bryan Toland, age 78, of Sherwood, Pulaski County, stepped into Heaven Thursday morning, November 28, 2024. She was born May 16, 1946 to Lonnie and Louise O'Bryan in Little Rock. She attended Cabot public schools and graduated with honors in 1964. She received her degree in accounting and bookkeeping from Draughon School of Business.

In June of 1965, she married Tommy Toland at Baring Cross Baptist Church. Starting her career in business, she worked for the Allied Telephone Company (now Alltel) of Little Rock, taking a break to start a family with her two children. She then continued in accounting with Kent Vestal Wholesale Florist, American Prestige and Tarco, finally finishing her career at Baring Cross Baptist Church as their financial secretary and later becoming the pastor's secretary as well. She retired due to her struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

Carol is survived by her husband of 59+ years, Tommy; daughter, Ginger Holcomb (Clifford) of Sherwood; son, Bryan Toland (Jennifer) of North Little Rock and sister, Shirley Walker of Cabot. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kay Comer (Josh) of Granberry, Texas and John Holcomb of Sherwood; great-granddaughter, Kaylyn Comer; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol will be remembered for her dedication to helping others in her drive to do the best at everything she set her mind on. Undoubtedly, Carol is rejoicing to be in Heaven with Jesus and reunited with her lost loved ones.

Visitation will be Monday, December 2nd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Baring Cross Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas or Baring Cross Baptist Church, Sherwood in the ''Own the Land'' fund.

Pat Walker is my neighbor and good friend and I can feel his and his family’s grief. I just lost a family member myself on Wednesday the 27th, the last of his generation. And unfortunately I will not be able to attend his funeral.
Be comforted that she was loved by so many and is now in gods loving hands and you will see her again someday.
