Yong Cha Clare

of Beebe, AR

December 14, 1944 - November 24, 2024

Yong Cha Clare, age 79, passed away in her home surrounded by love. She was born in Gyeongju, South Korea on December 14, 1944. She married Dotson Clare, the love of her life, in 1964. Yong Cha was proud of her Korean heritage, apparent by the stories she told, her love of Asian decor and her desire to return home to visit.

Her legendary egg rolls were famous and she always welcomed a houseful of friends and family with open arms. She was a master gardener. Anything she planted flourished underneath her care. Indoor plants, outdoor plants, vegetable gardens and beautiful landscaping were all part of her many talents. She loved to crochet and made afghans, baby blankets and scarves for others to enjoy. She was a fiercely loyal friend.

She retired from Land O'Frost where she worked for many years and met precious friends who became family. She was a valued employee and her strong work ethic was recognized.

Yong Cha and Dotson Clare celebrated 60 years of marriage and were a testament to love, loyalty and compromise. Her loving husband preceded her in death earlier this year. Yong Cha is survived by daughter, Brinda Berry (Brent) of Beebe; daughter, Audrey Estes (Ricky) of McRae and cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home at 1 PM Monday, December 2, 2024 with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Interment will be at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.

Although she suffered from Alzheimer's, she said it was okay as long as she remembered her family. And she did until the very end.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts of love be given to the Alzheimer's Association in her name. You may find her tribute page at http://act.alz.org/goto/yongchaclare.

Oh my heart is so sad! Loved your mom and dad dearly. My neighbors for many years. They were so Special! She loved everyone, I would go walking with them a lot and the stories I will always cherish. The flowers she planted in my yard! She was a joy. May God comfort you all.

Brinda & Audrey,
My heart goes out to you in the loss of your mom. I know your mom was loving and caring because she raised two loving and caring daughters.
Though I can't be there, know that my heart is there with you today.
Love to you and your families.
Mike

Yong Cha was like a Mom to me! She called me her daughter many times! Living next to her and Dotson for 30 years was such a joy. The stories they would tell. Yong Cha always gave me starts off her flowers. Her egg rolls were amazing. She was always bringing food including desserts to me. If I got behind on weeding in my flower gardens she would be over there doing it for me!!! So glad I got to visit with her a couple times before I moved to Missouri. She will be missed. A wonderful woman she was!!!
