Daniel Ray Walker, 76, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on November 19, 2024, in Fort Smith.
He was born on June 13, 1948, in Paris, Arkansas to his parents, Hoyt and Effie (Bullock) Walker. Daniel worked in the oil and gas industry for almost forty years and served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army. He loved being outdoors, fishing for anything that would bite, or hunting deer and turkey. He was also a very talented carpenter. He built a home and tree house for his wife, Kathy, and full-scale playhouses for his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Boyd Walker; a brother, Hoyt Lesley Walker; two sisters, Roberta Crawford and Sudie McCormick; mother-in-law Marie Robertson and brother-in-law, Frank Giboney.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Kathy (Robertson) Walker of the home; two sons, Adam Walker and wife, Stacy of Subiaco, Arkansas and Dan Walker of Paris, Arkansas; three sisters, Betty Lou Giboney of Paris, Arkansas, Carlen Sue Mainer and husband, Larry of Paris, Arkansas and Mary Walker of Paris, Arkansas; father-in-law, Earl Robertson of Magazine, Arkansas and two brothers-in-law, Bob Crawford of Florida and Ralph McCormick of Colorado; two grandchildren, Haley Walker and Hoyt Walker; many other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m., with burial in Liberty Cemetery in Driggs.
Funeral Service and arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
The pallbearers will be Dan Walker, Emil Friemel, Brian Johnson, Greg Newborn, Travis Williamson and Kent Bauer.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Harrison, Dutch Powell, David Walker, Melvin Thomas, Kenny Russell, Harold Raper, Steve Forbis, Sid Pilgreen, Bob Pilgreen and Slim Hice.
