James "Jim" Douglas Eager

of Little Rock, AR

March 19, 1953 - November 18, 2024

James (''Jim'') Douglas Eager, 71, passed to his Lord and Savior, on November 18, 2024. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 42 years, Jan Knight Eager; his daughter Jana Kristen Law, son-in-law Matthew, and four grandchildren, Eleanor Elizabeth Law, Jackson Knight Law, Barrett Lewis Law, and Maxwell Whittington Law.

Jim was born in Newton, New Jersey as the oldest child of Eleanor and John Eager, both deceased. He is survived by a sister, Susan Martin of North Carolina, and a brother Robert Eager (Cindy) of New Jersey.

Jan and Jim were the proprietors of Kwik Kopy Printing in Little Rock for thirty-five years, where Jim was known to greet customers by name and always had great stories on hand to share. He made a great many long-time friends through Kwik Kopy and truly enjoyed his work.

His ultimate joy though was in spending time with family - especially Jan and Jana. He and Jan shared a love of sports - spending many hours on the golf course, tennis court, and traveling to sporting events. He served as the President of the Men's Golf Association at Pleasant Valley Country Club for many years. Jim was certain to never miss Jana's games and even served as a coach for her basketball teams. He relished having nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends over where he would grill out for everyone and race the kids in the pool.

Anyone that knew him could probably still hear his infectious laugh, which wholeheartedly came from within, and feel the warmth of his hugs.

He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, where he was also a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Before opening Kwik Kopy, Jim started his career in insurance, where he held a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter certification. He was also a Third-Degree Master Mason. Jim was an active member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock, where he served as an usher and a lay reader. He also actively participated in the Central Arkansas Executive Association for many years.

There is no doubt from anyone that knew Jim that he was an optimist who loved life and lived it to the fullest extent. He will be remembered as a loving husband, supportive father and grandfather, and loyal friend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. James United Methodist Church. 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Jim was one of the friendliest people I have ever known. We were all happy Jan added him to our family. He was always very patient & accommodating when he helped me choose stationery & business cards. A happy person, he was both personable & professional in his business years. Jim was a blessing & will be missed by many friends & colleagues. My heart hurts for Jan & Jana yet thankful for the years they had together, for his love, for his example, & for his life teachings. We pray for your family to have peace & understanding in your loss. Love, Jamie Sue
