Michael Shane York, 53, of Benton, Arkansas was born on January 5, 1971, to Walter Lee York and Patricia (Ginn) French in Batesville, Arkansas and passed from this life on November 17, 2024 in Malvern, Arkansas. Shane was an incredible young man that had a zest for life. He was a 'character' in every sense of the word. Shane was a very personable man who loved life and loved people with all his heart. He always had a funny anecdote or story to tell. Shane never met a stranger and genuinely cared for everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, working with wood and was an avid artifact collector.
Shane is preceded in death by his father, Walter York, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his mother Patricia (Pat) French and her husband John, four children; Wyatt York, Gracie York, Kendell York, Abagail York, one grandson, Braxton York, one granddaughter that is soon to arrive, two sisters; Tanyua Davis and husband Howard, Rhonda Milich and husband Todd, one brother, Steven York and wife Trena, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the York Cemetery in Marcella, Arkansas. Pallbearers include; Wyatt York, John French, Todd Milich, Howard Davis, Justin Smith and Zac Monks. Honorary pallbearers are Kendall York and Steven York.

Words have no meaning at such a time as this, but wanted to express how sorry I am for your loss. Children are just not supposed to leave before us. Uncle Shane u will be missed . I remember u as far back as when I was about 12 first time in Arkansas Wyatt n Gracie were so small then. And then I got to revisit with u in Reno and u got to meet my kiddos. I'll never forget u always had us laughing about stupid stuff with Papa hahaha. Love u uncle rest easy say hello to Papa n my brothers for us.
