of Omaha, AR
February 8, 1945 - November 14, 2024
Rhonda Jo (Olson) Berry, age 79, of Omaha, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born on February 8, 1945, in Harrison, the daughter of Arlie Jack and Lotta (Matlock) Olson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Olin Olson; and her loving husband, Jim Berry.
Rhonda married James Berry on November 16, 1963, in Omaha. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Omaha. She loved her time at church as it provided needed comfort after the loss of her husband of 57 years, in 2021. Rhonda loved being a wife and mother but especially ''Nanny'' to grandsons, Gunner and Garrett. They were perfect in her eyes. She enjoyed baking brownies and sharing them with her friends and family. Those brownies have been missed since her stroke in 2022.
Rhonda is survived by her daughter, Carlotta (Berry) Mattox and her husband Travis; two grandsons, Gunner Cole Mattox, and Garrett James Mattox; her sister, Jacque Tate Olson; her nieces, Amy Dixon and her husband Jeff, Susan Moore and her husband Brian, Laura King and her husband Leslie, and Erin Woodworth and her husband Richie, all of Omaha; her sister-in-law, Suzy Samsel, of Ridgedale, Missouri and her children, Tanya Taylor and her husband Calvin, Larry Carl Stacy, and Dee Stacy; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other family and dear friends.
Open visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2024, at New Hope Cemetery, with Rev. Gene France officiating.
Pallbearers will be the family and friends.
The family extends a special Thank You to Hillcrest Nursing Home for providing a loving and caring community for the last two years of Rhonda's life.
