Colbern Cox Stuart, Jr. ''Buster'' passed way on Saturday, November 9, 2024. He was born in Dumas, Arkansas on September 24, 1941 to his late parents, Colbern Stuart, Sr. and Reva Haynie Stuart. Buster graduated from Watson High School in 1959 and joined the Army in 1960 where he was stationed in Germany until December of 1962.

After his return to the United States, he attended Ouachita Baptist College, graduating in 1967 with a Master's degree in Education. Buster worked at the Arkansas Children's Colony in Arkadelphia, Amity Schools, Wilmar Public Schools and 30 years with the Watson Chapel School district in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. In addition, he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jo Haynes and Betty Ripley Webb and his son, Cole. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Salter Stuart; grandson, Croix C. Stuart and many nieces and nephews.

Carol, we are saddened by reading of the passing of Buster. So sorry it has been so long since we all were together. We really had great times together during those Chapel years. Glenn really enjoyed working with you all and becoming friends. I remember lots of laughter and good stories! We send our love and prayers, Carol.

I'm so sorry to hear about Buster's passing.
He was a good man and a great principal, always having time to help his teachers.
After giving us a "tour" of Watson last year, he took us to lunch in McGehee. Nice memories.

Mrs. Stuart - My thoughts & prayers are w you! I have so very many wonderful memories of him as my principal but more of the two of you as my parents friends & co-workers. So very many happy memories & many w laughter, especially w Mom introducing you all & calling you the Simpsons (before The Simpsons were a real thing)!
